Thanks to PetRescue and The Pedigree Adoption Drive, BRV was lucky enough to get the opportunity throught out July and August 2009 to help promote the adoption of rescue dogs throughout Australia on Channel 10's Before the Game.

MDBA Rescuer of the Year Award

In 2007, BRV was nominated for the MDBA's Rescuer of the Year Award. The awards ceremony was held in mid-2008, with BRV winning their category.

In 2008, 2009 and 2010, BRV was again nominated in the Rescuer of the Year category.

Beagle Rescue Success Story

In 2007, BRV was contacted by a lady who wanted to surrender her female beagle due to behavioural issues. After BRV temperment tested Pippa, it was obvious straight away that, due to her many behavioural issues, Pippa would be unsuitable to be rehomed as a family pet.

A week earlier, Elders Pest Control had contacted BRV, offering their services for any unruly beagles who were not rehomable. Pippa met their criteria, on all levels. Pippa was then sent to John Elder and his family to begin her training to become a super detector beagle.
